Mukai Brewery(factory of Japanese rice wine)

It is the brewery which is said that exists the closest to the sea in the world.The most famous Sake “INE MANKAI” is the world-class one which was served at G20 Osaka Summit 2019.The chief of the brewery, “Kuniko-san (some calls her Kuni-chan)”, is very active and frank woman. You are so lucky if you could meet her because she is very busy to go abroad on business nowadays.

guri You can have so tasty coffee here. The cakes made by the café manager for herself are made of local products and so good for health. They taste slightly sweet, make your heart warm. The landlady of this guest house says that “I love Chai (Indian-style milk tea seasoned by spice).”

Umi Hoshi Park

It is large park. It has many parking lots everywhere in the park so you can go by car near to where you want to play. There is a space which has a lot of playground equipment for children. Children will be happy to run around of nature! Some kinds of seasonal events are held there also.

Sightseeing Boat around Ine Bay

You can travel around Ine Bay with seagulls for 25 minutes, studying the history of Ine. The scenery of boat houses that you look out from the sea, feeling sea breeze, is especially beautiful. *The sea plus taxi around IZUTSUYA cannot go to Ine Bay because they are not members of Ine town. If you want to use the sea plus taxi in Ine Bay, ask Ine Tourist Information.

Firefly Festival in Tawara

The water of rice paddy in Tawara is very clean. Fireflies can live only where has clean water. In June, you can see so many fireflies flying around rice paddies in Tawara. Watching the fantastic scenery, you might spend the time without minding something.

The festival is held two nights or so in middle of June.

Urashima Shrine

Urashima Shrine is the origin of the folk tale “Urashima Taro”, very famous folk story in Japan. In the museum, there is the oldest paper drawn Urashima Taro story, and is old Tamatebako which is important thing in the story (reservation is required.)

Ukawa Onsen Yoshino-no-Sato

This is a hot spring facility on a hill near Kyoga-Misaki (Kyoga Cape). Big bathtubs made of natural wood are clean and have good atmosphere. The view looking out over the sea from open-air bath is remarkable. It is good to take a bath there before you come to our guest house because we don’t have Onsen, hot water heated up under the ground, but simple hot water. It is recommendable Onsen we love!

Michi-no-Eki(Roadside Rest Area) Funaya-no-Sato Ine

It is the best place to buy souvenirs! It is a roadside rest area, called “Michi-no-Eki”, where you can take a view of the sea of Ine. There are restaurants where you can enjoy tasting local sea food meals such as Kaisen-don (raw sea food on rice).

Amanohashidate

It is one of “the three great views of Japan” which Miyazu city is proud. From IZUTSUYA it takes 20 to 30 minutes by car. Amanohashidate has two entrance. One is the side of Amanohashidate Station. There is a kind of amusement park called “View land” and you can take a view of Amanohashidate trying the unique viewing style “Matanozoki (lower your head and see Amanohashidate from between your two legs.)” There you can see Amanohashidate just like a dragon flying up to sky. The other entrance is “Kasamatsu Park” the opposite side of Amanohashidate station. There also you can try Matanozoki to take a view of Amanohashidate. There you can see Amanohashidate just like a straight line of pain trees. There are a lot of places where you can see Amanohashidate of different scenery. Try and enjoy them.

Yosano town

Yosano town is famous of the street called “Chirimen Kaido” where many small factories of silk cloths exist. Coming middle to late of February, people display “Hina Ningyo (dolls of traditional wedding in Japan)” to pray their daughter’s healthy growing. Some ordinary homes open to show their Hina Ningyo for public when Yosano town hold the event for tourists. Communicating with local people, you can see traditional Hina Ningyo.

Kyotango city

There is a big Michi-no-Eki (Roadside Rest Area) called “Tango Oukoku (Tango Kingdom).” You can buy local vegetables and souvenirs. There are large park and amusement facilities inside the area. You can also touch some animals there.You can enjoy with your family all day long there.

Toyooka City

Toyooka city has a lot of pleasures such as “Hyogo Park of the Oriental White Stork”, “Kinosaki Onsen (hot spring)”, “Kinosaki Marine World (aquarium)”, “Izusi Soba (local buck wheat noodle)” and so on. It takes about one hour and half from IZUTSUYA by car. It is recommendable to go to not only Miyazu but also Toyooka!
